Artist Statement
The primary forces in my work are colour and light; they make me swoon and yearn to portray their power and beauty. I explore and capture the negative spaces in a thicket of undergrowth or a forest of trees and study the play of sunlight, reflection and shadow in a landscape. I use oil, acrylic, watercolour, gouache and coloured pencil in my endeavour to capture movement, depth, life and light.

Seeking a Forever Home
This painting refused to stay cooped up in the studio. Exhibiting now at Peachland Art Gallery from June 27 to August 3, 2026, it’s flaunting its colours and hoping to find a lucky collector who appreciates its flair.
